Privacy Policy for Salah Lock

Salah Lock ("we", "our", or "us") provides an iOS app designed to help users protect prayer time and reduce distractions. This Privacy Policy explains what data is collected, how it is used, and your choices.

Data We Collect

We and our service providers may collect the following categories of data:

  • Name (optional): During onboarding, users can enter a name. In the current app version, this value may be included in app analytics context.
  • Identifiers: Device-level and app-instance identifiers used by analytics, diagnostics, and subscription services.
  • Purchases: Subscription and entitlement information (for example, whether Pro access is active).
  • Product Interaction Data: App events such as screen views, button taps, onboarding progress, prayer-flow actions, and subscription flow events.
  • Diagnostics: Crash reports, performance data, and technical diagnostics.
  • Approximate Location (coarse): Our analytics/diagnostics providers may infer approximate location from IP address.

Data We Do Not Collect as Account Contact Data

In the current app version, we do not provide an in-app account system that asks for email address or phone number for account creation.

Sensitive and Permission-Based Data

  • Prayer location: The app may request location permission to calculate prayer times and Qibla direction.
  • Camera access: Camera may be used for optional hard-mode prayer confirmation flow.

We do not run our own media upload backend for prayer proof in the current app version.

How We Use Data

We use collected data to:

  • operate core app functionality;
  • calculate and personalize prayer-related flows;
  • manage subscriptions and restore purchases;
  • understand feature usage and improve user experience;
  • monitor crashes, errors, and app stability.

Tracking and Advertising

We do not use collected data for third-party advertising, targeted advertising, or data-broker sharing. We do not use collected data for cross-app tracking as defined for App Tracking Transparency.

Data Retention

We retain local app data on your device until you clear app data or uninstall the app. Data processed by third-party providers is retained according to their retention settings and policies.

Your Choices

You can:

  • deny or revoke permissions (for example, Location or Camera) in iOS Settings;
  • uninstall the app to stop future data collection from that device;
  • contact us to request help with data-related requests.

Children's Privacy

Salah Lock does not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.

International Data Transfers

Our providers may process data in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on contractual and organizational safeguards offered by our providers.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above.
